UBO (Ultimate Beneficial Owner)

A UBO (Ultimate Beneficial Owner) is the individual who ultimately owns or controls a legal entity. In most cases, this is a person who owns more than 25% of the company's shares or voting rights, or otherwise exercises effective control over the business. On 8lends, UBO identification is required during KYB verification. All UBOs must complete KYC verification through Sumsub and undergo sanctions screening.
