The 8lends referral program gives the inviter a 6% bonus in 8LNDS on each investment made by an invited friend within 45 days of their registration. The invited person themselves receives the standard Proof of Loan +4% on their investments — this is not part of the referral program, but a base bonus for all investors. The referral link is available in your personal account after connecting a wallet. Bonuses are paid in 8LNDS tokens with a 39-week vesting period.

Important: the invited person receives 4% not because of the referral program — this cashback is available to any investor on 8lends, regardless of whether they came via a referral link or not. This is the base Proof of Loan mechanic.

The referral program adds only the bonus for the inviter — this is the platform's fee for attracting new investors.

Scenario: you invited Alexey, he registered and, within 45 days, made three investments:

How much will I get for referring a friend? 6% of each of their investments within 45 days from the moment of registration. The bonus is credited in 8LNDS. There is no limit on the bonus amount — the more your friend invests, the more you receive.

Does the invited person receive anything extra for coming via my link? There are no additional bonuses beyond the standard ones. Any investor on 8lends receives Proof of Loan +4% for their investments — this does not depend on whether they came via a referral link or on their own. The referral program gives a bonus only to the inviter.

Can someone intercept my referral if they register without the link? No, you cannot link them back retroactively. Your friend must follow exactly your link (or enter your referral code, if such an option exists) during registration. That's why it's important to send the link before your friend registers, not after.

Does the invited person's investment count if they made it before the pool closed? The bonus is credited at the moment the pool closes (Funded stage), when the funds actually go to work for the borrower. If the pool does not close (Not Funded stage) — the bonus is not credited, because no actual investment took place.

What if the invited person makes an investment after 46 days? The referral bonus is valid for 45 days from the moment of the invited person's registration. After this, the invited person's investments do not generate a referral bonus for the inviter.

What is the maximum amount of referral bonuses? There is no limit. The more friends you invite and the more they invest — the more bonuses you receive. These are percentages of real investments, not a fixed amount for registration, so the system is self-balancing: there is a bonus only when there is real activity.

When can I claim my referral bonuses? Bonuses appear in your personal account in the Bonuses or Rewards section after the invited person's project pool closes. The claim conditions are the same as for Proof of Loan: vesting of 2.5% immediately + 2.5% each week over 39 weeks (40 unlocks). More about vesting

What if my friend gets a KYC rejection — will I be credited a bonus? No. The bonus is credited only for an actual investment. If the invited person registered but did not pass KYC and did not invest — there is no bonus. If they made an investment of up to $500 (without KYC) — the bonus is credited as usual.

Can I be the referral of several people? No, each investor can have only one inviter. The link is established upon the first follow of the referral link.

And if I registered without a link, can I be linked to a referrer retroactively? The current version of the platform does not support retroactive linking. This is a technical limitation for the transparency of the system.

Can I use referral bonuses for the next investment? Bonuses are credited in 8LNDS, not in USDC. To invest further — 8LNDS needs to be exchanged for USDC via Uniswap on Base. An alternative path is to hold 8LNDS as a standalone position in your portfolio.

Is there a referral bonus for the referrals of my referral (a multi-level system)? No. The program is single-level — only direct referrals. This is a deliberate decision: a single-level structure is more transparent, without the risk of MLM-like schemes.
