RWA (Real World Assets)

RWA (Real World Assets) are real-world assets used as collateral for loans on 8lends. Unlike crypto-backed DeFi loans, every loan on 8lends is secured by tangible business assets such as equipment, inventory, real estate, or accounts receivable. It is important to distinguish between two different models: RWA tokenization (turning an asset into a tradable token, as used by Ondo and BlackRock BUIDL) and RWA-backed lending (using the asset as loan collateral, which is the model used by 8lends).
