Maclear AG is a Swiss company and a member of the PolyReg SRO, which operates under FINMA's supervision. On 8lends, it acts as the Collateral Agent, responsible for borrower due diligence, the legal registration and monitoring of collateral, and the sale of collateral if a borrower defaults. The company has existed since before 2020 and was acquired and repositioned from software/GRC to crowdlending in 2020. The Maclear platform (its fiat product) was launched in 2022. The company is registered in Basel, Switzerland.
